Watching the "Mom-Dog"

I can't have a posting without a Puppy picture, so here's Ani watching Sue head off to her big day.

The Last test.......

Here's my better half (Susan) on her way to take her last big comprehensive test. Next step.....disertation. When she returns today she'll be ABD (All But Disertation). She wouldn't let me post actual pictures of her, so the best I could do was show her in the car headed for College Park MD.

The next Princess

These are Liza's pups. There are 3 wild boars and one red. We will get first pick of the litter on or about May 22nd. We're still batting around names but "Lilly" is leading the list right now.

Our new addition's Mom

This beautiful lady is CH Liza Jane from Tarlyn Kennels. On March 27, 2006 she had 4 female pups, one of which will be our new puppy. Our new girl should be very similar in coat/color to her Mom. Her color is called "Wild Boar", we hope our pup is just as dark.

Second in command

This guys name is "Picatso", another clever artsy word play on "Picaso". He will at least play with Ani while Harley just likes to use her as a sparing partner.

Ani and the "Old Man"

Ani may think she's the boss but he is the real power here. His name is "Harley" and following the passing of the old yellow lab, he inheirited the castle. He's been with us for 9 years.

Leaving Trenton

This the view departing Trenton NJ, eastbound on #2 track. The train on the left is a New Jersey Transit train (NJT) being pulled by one of their new ALP-46 locomotives.

At Wilmington DE

This is the Engineers view as we depart Wilmington DE on #2 track northbound. There is an Acela trainset arriving on #3 track on the left side of the picture.

A cab view

This is the Engineers view from an HHP-8 locomotive as we cross the Susquehanna river going southbound. Our speed is 90 mph and our next stop will be Baltimore MD.

Westbound at Trenton

I was operating Train #79 this day. Here we are in Trenton NJ, westbound. Our next stop will be Philadelphia PA.

Todays motor, #919, is an AEM-7AC.

My job

This is what I do for a living.

That's me in front of Train #140 as I prepare to make a run from Washington to New york.

The Locomotive is #653, an HHP-8.

Ani meets her first snake

It appears that all sticks are NOT created equal.
Some move and have an attitude about being played with.
A learning experience for all.

At the buffet......

The dog appears to think that the yard is an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Nothing is off limits, including the Toad that she inhaled, prompting an emergency Vet visit. Luckily just some imodium and sleep was all that was required.

Snow hound !

The girls first snowfall. She doesn't like the snowstorm but she loves playing in the results.

Our Teutonic hound

This is one of my favorite pictures.

Ani has such a classic look about her her.
This photo also shows her fur in such great detail.

First Christmas with a Puppy

Ani helps Josh (our Son) decorate the family tree

Mid- November

As Thanksgiving approaches, Ani continues to fill out, facially.

Couch time

The Pup has been home for 3 weeks and is getting more noticeably furry on her snoot.

First yard trip

September 10th, My birthday.

The Puppy checks out her new yard

We finally get to meet her. She has a long trip ahead of her before arriving at her new home.

In the beginning......

The "Boss" with her staff

Greetings all,

Here's my first post with the object of my Canine affections.
Her name is "ANI" which is short for "Modogliani", a clever word play on the artist "Modigliani". My wife Susan is an Artsy type academic.
You'll likely see plenty of Dog pictures here with a smattering of Train pictures and the occasional family picture.

Here we go.......
