A yard tussle

When I can get them to finally play together,
the girls really enjoy each other.

Lily on alert

Lily is such a yard hound. We have to carry Ani out before she'll concede that it might be fun.

I feel the need.....the need for speed !

My little speed demon loves the wind in her face !

Guilty looks.......... and warm clothes

The girls really enjoy laundry time.
Especially when the warm blankets pop out !

Pinky and the Brain

There's a cartoon about two mice, called "Pinky and the Brain" and one of the lines in their lyrics is "One is a genius, the other is insane". We have an on-going discussion about which is which.
The lyrics seem to apply here as well.
This is a rare photo that shows my son Joshua without a laptop attached to his body..............and Sue using ours.

A better picture....

Sister Joseph Maureen (left), Sister Loretta Michael (right)

Nun-sense

These are "The Nuns". Susan's Aunt Mickey (Sr. Loretta Michael) is on my right, and Sister Joe (Sr. Joseph Maureen), on my left. We have a running joke going about me being a "Dirty Lutheran" in a family full of "Good Catholics". This photo was taken at Aunt Mickey's jubilee, that's 50 years in her order. I was being a little irreverant (pun) here. Every year we try to out-do each other with obscure and semi-religious gag gifts, hence the holy dog cookies in my last post.
I'll put a better picture of Aunt Mickey in here also as she dislikes this shot of her.
Note: Blow up the picture and read my shirt !

Aunt Mickey's and Sister Joe's Christmas poem

Two little puppies
named Ani and Lili
were adopted last year
by Susie and Billy.

Soon they were jumping
with joy and delight
when their new parents told them
their last name was "Kight".

We know they'll be happy
'cause they're loved through and through
by all of the family
of Billy and Sue.

There's just one suggestion
that we'd like to make
to keep your "girls" healthy
when you've no time to bake.

Some day when they're hungry
don't give them a bone.
Let them enjoy some cookies
made by SISTER JOAN.

Besides good nutrition
when their snack is done,
they'll find they were blessed
by this good HOLY NUN !!!!!!!

Our German friends

This is Uli and Andrea from Bayreuth Germany. They came here to visit Susan over the holidays. Uli is a member of the Polizei in Bayreuth (the Police) and Andrea is a School teacher. Susan stayed with her in 1993 during her first Student Abroad experience and they've been great friends ever since. Susan had a blast showing them the area (the weather was incredible !). They went Lighthouse viewing and went to D.C. , Philly and lots of Delmarva sites. They seemed to enjoy themselves and we loved having them here !

My new Dog-walking shirt

Here's the latest addition to my dog walking paraphenalia (from my Sister). The girls really didn't take any special note of it though.

Morning in December

Here's a cool shot of a very "red sky in the morning". The weather
never did get bad though....
