Stephen King's next book ?

During a recent tornado warning, Sue and Josh went to the basement with the girls.

Liliy had never been there before and found all the cobwebs under the stairs. Next time we'll just send her in wrapped in a swifter cloth.

The three stooges ?

Left to right, Liddy (Lidia), Lily and Ani.

Liddy is Uncle Franks dog. The girls are all intently watching the local chipmunks. Ani was out of her mind with joy at getting so many new critters to chase. We don't have chipmunks in Delaware and our squirrels and rabbits are not near as much fun.

If we did have them, Ani would be worn to a frazzle all the time....

The Lodge

The view from the bottom, quite beautiful.

Hmmm, that way ?

Uncle Frank is pretty sure that this path is a shortcut back down the mountain.

Ultimately it wasn't but it was a great walk with wonderful scenery.

The Balancing Rock

After a brief walk up a mountain path, we got to the rocks. The girls were real troopers and walked up and down without any fuss. Unfortunately, a swarm of mosquitos were on hand to entertain us as well.

Ani and Lily slept like rocks themselves when we got to the car.

Look at that !

Uncle Frank strikes the classic explorer pose.

I think he was pointing the way to the public bathrooms.......

Uncle Frank and Aunt Roberta

Uncle Frank took pity on us and drove us (as opposed to climbing ) to the summit (2006 ft). This is before we took a little path up to a balancing rock. Sorry, no dogs in this photo but Uncle Frank and Aunt Roberta deserve their own spot.

Girls on vacation

We took the girls to Mass for a couple of days to visit the Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Here, Sue's Uncle Frank, took us to a mountain for some scenery. We don't get many mountain views in Delaware.

As always, remember that you can make the picture larger by just clicking on the picture itself.

Back at the Fort ,safe and sound

We made it back after only a few bumps along the way.
If they all go this well, I'll be happy with the girls walking together. Ani is a great solo walker and Lily is shaping up as well. The tandem challenge continues.

and awaaaay we go

Here I've established the pecking order (or they did, it depends on your point of view) , and the show is on the road.

It's a hot night so we won't be out long.

progress.....

We've made it to the street and the positioning is looking good.
Now if I can just keep them moving........

Our first tandem walk

I decided that it was time to try to leash the girls together for our walk. I bought a tandem rig, put'em on the leash and out we went.

Here, Ani is dragging Lily through the grass !

I figured it might take a little while to work out the dynamics , but what the heck, let's give it a try.....

Not to be outdone.....

I couldn't resist adding a picture of Lily making a dash across the yard.
This Camera is a very dangerous new toy !

Me and my girls

And last but not least, a current picture of the girls with the old Dad-Dog.
Ani is on the left, Lily on the right.

Just too darn cute

As I was playing with the new Camera, I happened to
look next to my chair and Lily looked up.

Just a cute pose.

Ani and "Frank"

We have a large statue of St. Francis (aka Frank) in our back yard that the girls have never paid attention to. Today, Ani took note that I had put something she had been trying to eat, on "Frank's" shoulder. Naturally, she had to try to get her newfound prize back......

New Lily portraits

Since we bought a new digital camera, I've been chasing the girls around for updated portaits. This is one of my better attempts.

One fast puppy

Ani loves to race along her side of the fence with the neighbor's Sharpei's. She's real tough from her side of the fence, I suspect she'd be an hors deourve on their side.
